Each ATC chapter is named for a contemporary song. As the series when on I had to reach a bit for appropriate titles.

 

This episode, People are Strange was originally intended to be Dr. Venom's back story, which pretty much read like that of Dr. Frankenstien, Dr. Herbert West,  and every other scientist ostracised for being a crank.

 

The would-be employers that Venom mentions are presumably an early incarnation COBRA.

In the opening shot we see the AT headquarters - where a normally more reserved Adventurer fires an intern.

In a fun Rod Whigham tweak, the Adventure Team wrist communicator makes the same sound as the Superman signal watch that Jimmy Olsen wears.
